As of July 24, 2023, Google will be making changes to its Single Sign-On authentication policy which impacts the way applications are allowed to authenticate accounts. Because of this change, Google SSO will no longer be supported for GMetrix SMS for Windows version 7.0.24 or earlier. Users logging in via GMetrix SMS 7.0.25 or newer, through the GMetrix Student Portal (www.gmetrix.net), or those using non-Google login methods will not be affected.

Additionally, all versions of GMetrix SMS for Mac will be affected. We are actively working on an update to the SMS for Mac software and will make it available through www.gmetrix.net/download as soon as possible.

If possible please update to the latest version of GMetrix SMS available. If you cannot update, but can log in with a username and password instead of Google SSO, everything will continue to work normally. You can set up a password for your account by logging into the GMetrix website (www.gmetrix.net) and clicking on your name in the upper right-hand of the site. From there navigate to "My Account". Under the "Authorization and Password" tab click "Change Password" to add a password to an account created via Google SSO. You can also add a backup Microsoft authentication to your account here as well.

If you are attempting to login with Google SSO past July 24th, 2023, you should be notified with these messages on the GMetrix SMS login page.
