GMetrix will install in a remote desktop server environment, but there are a few things to be aware of:
- The GMetrix SMS software and the Adobe/Microsoft Office software both need to be installed on the same server.
- The GMetrix SMS software needs to be ran in a remote desktop environment, not an application server environment. GMetrix interacts with the Adobe/Microsoft Office software that is installed on the same machine, and so both must be running together.
- The Users that remote into the server to use GMetrix SMS cannot have administrator privileges.
- If they do, the GMetrix system may interfere with the Adobe/Office application for all users that are logged in.
Outlook has some additional setup steps for a server setup. If your users need access to the Outlook tests, the following registry changes may be needed.
Give "full control" permission to these keys (modified to match the version of office that is installed):

- "Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Setup\First-Run"

- "Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\DisableOtherTypes"
- "Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\DisablePOP3"

- "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins"
